- Radiation: Cells cultivated on the Bionas® metabolic chip SC1000 are treated with varying radiation doses. Additionally, different substance concentrations may be added to conclude combinatory effects of radiation and compound treatment.
- Metastatic Potential: Changes in the ability of cell to spread out from cell clusters or morphological changes of cells can be detected in real time.
- Chemosensitivity: Chemosensitivity and chemoresistance of tumor cell lines, primary cells or organotypic tissue culture such as tumor slices can be determined in real time. With the possibility to monitor recovery effects after the withdrawal of compounds, the reversibility of drug effects can be directly addressed.
- Natural Compounds: The possible role of natural compounds in chemoprevention, like apple extracts or lignans is under investigation suggesting a physiological impact of products on human cancer cells.
App Note 005: Influence of p53 status on anticancer drug sensitivity and drug resitance using the Bionas® 2500 analyzing system
